Determining Fault In A Pomona Motorcycle Accident

Determining Fault In A Pomona Motorcycle Accident
Christian J. Amendt

If you ride a BMW motorcycle, chances are you bought it for its safety features. BMWs have some of the most advanced safety technology of any bike on the road, including anti-lock braking, dynamic traction control, automatic stability control and tire pressure monitoring systems.

Whatever safety technology your bike has, and however cautious a rider you are, sometimes it is not enough.

Earlier this month, a BMW rider was killed on the Pomona freeway. Reports say a tire came off a car and knocked the motorcyclist off his bike, where he was then hit and killed by another car.

Far too many motorcycle accidents, whether fatal or not, are caused by other vehicles. If you, or a family member, are victims of a motorcycle accident, you may want legal help. While some accidents are unlucky, sometimes someone was at fault, and it may not be who you think.

To use the case of the BMW rider as an example: Was it the fault of the driver who hit the motorcyclist? Was it the fault of the driver who lost a wheel? Was it the fault of a garage or tire change service? Was it the fault of the car or tire manufacturer? Or was there a hole in the road that caused the car to lose its tire, which might make it the fault of the road authorities?

Determining the cause of a motorcycle accident is rarely straightforward, but doing so is essential to recuperate some of the considerable costs you may face.
